Citric Acid Crystals

Citric acid is an acid compound found in citrus fruits such as lemons and limes. In manufactured Crystal or powder form it is an odorless substitute for acetic acid 56% or vinegar 5% when working with acid dyes or reactive dyes. (It is safer than using acetic acid 56%.) Use 1 teaspoon Citric Acid Crystals to replace 1 teaspoon of Acetic Acid 56% for acid dyes. Use 6 teaspoons Citric Acid Crystals in 6 cups of water as a pre-soak to replace White Vinegar 5% for Reactive dyes when heat setting in a microwave.
